| Comments: I'm not a member but I've started researching my mothers tree. My mother was Mary Catherine Meade. Her parents were James Edward (Eddy) Meade and Emily Louise Robertson. They were married on October 16, 1926. I have their marriage certificate, marriage license and affidavit for license to marry, which all state Emily's father as John S. Robertson who was born in Scotland. Her mother was Catherine Mills who was born in Ireland. They are both buried in Mohawk Cemetery, Mohawk, New York. Catherine Mills worked in the Robinson Mansion(Gustin Castle) on Robinson Rd. in Mohawk, NY where she gave birth to my grandmother Emily. I remember my g. gmother but not her husband. Emily had three sisters and one brother- Aunt Jennie Robertson Pickett(lived in Mohawk NY and had 3 boys and one girl), Aunt Anne (not sure but think she lived in Ohio-I never met her), Aunt ??, and Uncle Bill(William) who lives in Richfield Springs, NY. | Comments: I have just begun searching for information about my father and the Robertson side of the family. I have not seen him since age 6, and do not know him. I am researching this side of the family for my son, who lives with me. What I do know is my father, Ira Judson Robertson, is retired from the army, probably approaching 20 years ago. Was stationed in Germany where I was born as well as my sister, Marybeth. In between my brother, Judson, was born while father was stationed in Aberdeen, Maryland. I have one son, Peter. My brother has two sons and a daughter, David, Brian and Nadine. My brother still lives in DeLand, Florida, where we moved in 1966 from Germany. My sister, who has no children, was discharged from the Army in Monterey, California, where she stayed. I went on vacation to Monterey in 1991 from DeLand, Florida, and never went back to Florida. I really enjoyed reading all the queries; however I am one who did not find any family references; so here is some information of my ROBERTSON heritage; my father; Frank Watson Robertson; B;2/26/1907, D:3/15/1974. He was next to the youngest of 8 children born to James Madison Robertson B:6/19/1864 in Manchester KY and who D:1/11/1911 in Holdenville, OK. He was married to: Laura Ann [Hull]Robertson, who was B:11/12/1870 in Macon Co., MO and who D:1/23/1912 in Holdenville,OK. My fFrank and some other siblings were placed in an orphange; University Heights -in Oklahoma City or Bartlesville. I have not been able to find any information on my gparents, nor information of what happen to my dad and 3 other siblings when they left the orphanage. I do have the names of all the siblings, their birthdates, but not death dates. | Comments: This is a great page. My earliest Robertson ancestor goes back to Joseph Robertson who married Mary Clark. They lived in Sumner County, TN. My gggrandfather Allen was their youngest son. He was born in 1796, in Sumner TN. He married Elizabeth Bolinger in Claiborne County TN. In 1820's the whole family moved to MO - the northeast area(traveled around until they settled in one place). | Comments: I am researching the ADAMS, BURSON, HUTCHISON, ROBERTSON families of Loudoun Co, Va. William ADAMS married Nancy ROBERTSON on December 24, 1816. They had Mason Clarence(1822 who married Armenia S. Hutchison); Susan; John H.; James A(1825); Ann E.; William; Catharine; and Nancy E. (1834 who married Henry Hutchison). Mason and Armenia had a son Walter Harrison (Born 1847) in Va who married Lydia Burson Lalla Hutchison, dau of James Hutchison and Frances Goodwin). All of these families moved to Illinois from the 1830's to the 1850's. All are buried in Clark Co, Il with the exception of William and Nancy ROBERTSON Adams who are buried in the Ebenezer Old School Cemetery in Round Hill, Va. Elizabeth was born 27 Jan 1819 in Daviess Co., Indiana. She died 16 Mar 1880. James Monroe died abt. 1855. They lived in Parker Co., Texas and are burried in Rock Springs Cemetery, Parker Co., Texas. Angeline Robertson died abt 1865 in Parker Co., Texas. She married Wallace Thompson KING. They had two daughters: Minnie Robertson and Anna Bell..there may have been a son also.
